During their recent visit to Aberdeenshire, the King and Queen were presented with custom-made Lego miniatures of themselves, beautifully crafted to mark a special occasion. The royal couple attended a celebration at Albert Hall, which has stood for 150 years as a historic landmark in the community.

King Charles, dressed in his signature King Charles tartan kilt, and Queen Camilla enjoyed a warm welcome that included Highland dance performances, fiddle music, and greetings from local residents.
As part of the event, the monarchs admired a Lego recreation of Albert Hall—originally built in 1875 and reopened by the late Queen Elizabeth II in 1987—along with their own tiny Lego counterparts, meticulously created by the village’s Lego club.
The visit not only highlighted the beauty trends royal family’s enduring connection with Ballater but also celebrated the creative spirit of the local residents who continue to honor their monarchs in unique and heartfelt ways.
